| Springfield, VT - TheCoolPool.com is proud to announce the Cool Pool Hall of Fame's innagural class, effective on December 12, 2010. The voting panel has nominated five members, and then voted for one to be inducted. On December 12, 2003, founder Greg Miller started a small fantasy racing site, and creatively named it "The Cool Pool." Since then, the website has grown to seven "cool pools," giving credit to the argument, "shouldn't it be "thecoolpools.com?" Well, we can't really change the website name, so we will remain "thecoolpool.com" long into the future. In May 2010, NASCAR opened the NASCAR Hall of Fame, joining other Cool Pool sports like the NFL, MLB and NHL. Because of this, many eyes have been opened and people here at TheCoolPool.com have asked, "why don't we have a hall of fame?" Well, now we do! Beginning in 2011, each sport will have a wing in which smaller inductions of famous Cool Pool memorabilia, artifacts and records will be inducted in its own induction month (NASCAR in May, Baseball in July, Football in August, and Hockey in November). 2011 Cool Pool Hall of Fame Nominees will be announced in September. Any member voted into the Cool Pool Hall of Fame will receive a plaque with their name on it and recognition on the site We look forward to having a bright future with many great hall of fame members.
