CCHL Announces 2007-08 Matchups, Welcomes 6 new teams
After the departure of 6 teams following the 2006-07 season, the Cross-Check Hockey league is announcing today the release of the 2007-08 schedule, which includes 6 new teams. There were 6 departures from last season, all for various reasons. The six coaches and teams the CCHL said goodbye to were:
Carlyle Rose, Albany River Rats (7-5)
Carol Siddens, Chicago Wolves (5-7)
Joe Gowan, Charlotte Checkers (4-8)
Larry Humphries, Atlanta Knights (3-9)
Spencer Rose, Cleveland Lumberjacks (2-10)
Roy Andrews, Orlando Solarbears (2-10)

Now we look forward to the 2007-08 season. We have expanded the season by 2 regular season weeks, while also expanding the playoffs by two weeks as well. This season we will have 14 regular season weeks, and in the playoffs will have 2 one week matchups to decide the Championship game, which will run for a "best of" three week series.

While we said goodbye to some teams, we have welcomed six new teams into the newly re-named Wales and Campbell conferences. The six new coaches and teams we are welcoming are:
Kevin Sullivan, Carolina Thunderbirds
Ben Horrigan, London Knights
Andrew Riney, Peoria Rivermen
Adam Maracle, Belleville Bulls
Daniel Schmittou, Gwinnett Gladiators
Larry Musich, Iron Range Yellow Jackets

Each team will play 14 games this season. They will play each team in their division twice, while playing 8 teams outside their division once. Each team will play 12 other teams throughout the season, leaving only 4 teams that each team will not compete against during the regular season. To see all matchups, click here:
