The Council
TheCoolPool.com's council was created in November 2005, as a way to get more than just one person involved in all aspects of the games. In 2008, there will be a council member for each of the pools, including Cool Pool Racing Sprint Cup Series, Nationwide Series and Craftsman Truck Series, along with Football, Baseball and Hockey. Each council member will be asked to do each of the following:

The Council will assist the President in determining the best direction for the league, while also offering new ideas and suggestions.

The Council will consist of 8 members: The President, Vice President and six other council members, designated by the President and Vice President. In the event of a tie for a vote, the manager of that pool will get the deciding vote.

The President holds his position for life, or until he feels the need to get out and hand it over to someone else. The Vice President will hold his position until the President or himself decide there needs to be a change. Each Council position will be held for one year (January 1st - December 31st). At the end of each term, the President and Vice President will select to either re-new a members term, or find replacements.

If there is a need for a new Vice President, it is the President's decision. However, if a council member resigns, or a new one needs to be assigned, it will be discussed upon by the current council members.
