April-May Update
Well spring is already here which means The Cool Pool's 2008 Baseball season is under way once again! As usual things are a little topsy-turvy to get the season started. The biggest surprise so far has been the Detroit Tigers. Perennial powers Greg Miller and Kevin Sullivan had the unfortunate luck of picking the Tigers for April. Detroit is righting the ship but they have put these two CP players in an early hole. Look for the Tigers to make a come back, but that certainly won't help Greg and Kevin much.
On the flip side of that mess are the red-hot Arizona Diamondbacks and the surprising St. Louis Cardinals. David Guy and Chris Canaday have the Diamondbacks while Tom Riney and Mark Rinker snagged the Cards. Congrats to those guys on their early starts.
Last years division winners Andrew Riney, Daniel Schmittou, Steve DiCaprio and Stephen Miller are all lurking near the top of their divisions as well. This should be another interesting season at the Cool Pool, so stay tuned and "Speedy" will keep you updated month to month.
Have fun folks and don't be discouraged by a bad start, or over-confident on a great start either. There's still a lot of baseball left and anything can happen.
