Cool Pool Baseball 2008 Updates brought to you by Speedy's Ramblings

May-June Update

Ok guys and girls, hope y'all are having a safe Memorial Day weekend! Here at the Cool Pool things are starting to show some seperation in the standings, but its way too early for any predictions just yet. Here's an update for the upcoming month of June as May is running out of games.

In the Right Field side of the bracket it would seem David Guy is the class of the field in The Knuckleball Division. He owns a 6.5 game lead over the rest of the division where it seems everyone is struggling a little bit.

In the Flyball division Mark Rinker, who has Cleveland, and Mike Lewis, with Texas, are at a dead heat at the moment tied for the lead.

The Double Play division Thomas Brownie, who picked the Marlins, is mere percenage points ahead of Daniel Schmittou, who picked the Dodgers. This division could come down to the last day with other strong player lucking behind these guys.

Meanwhile, over at the Left Field side of the bracket, things are heating up as well. Marty Fleissner leads Greg Miller in a close battle in the Home Plate division. This will be a tight division as well. Greg is making a nice comeback after Detroit's implosion in April.

Speaking of Detroit, Chris Canaday picked them and is in the lead in the Grand Slam division. He will be dealt a lesser team, I'm sure, after two good months, so teams there have a little hope.

The Rally Cap division has Steve DiCaprio leading at the moment by picking Atlanta, Americas team, while Corey Spague is one game back after picking the Phillies.

The draft is  just around the corner so some teams struggling will have a chance at redemption as they will get first priority in the draft so hang in there folks. See ya next month and good luck to all!
