Owned and operated by Greg Miller, 22, of Springfield, VT, TheCoolPool.com is a fantasy sports website dedicated to those who enjoy the thrill of participating in various fantasy pools. Founded in 2003, the site rapidly evolved from a single Racing Pool to one also offering Hockey, Baseball and Football pools.

Though the years have passed, passion in running the site has not. “I love it, it's all for the people,” stated Miller, “everybody could use a fun, fantasy sports site that’s dedicated to the people and not the income.” As if the thought of a site featuring four fantasy sporting pools didn’t sound appealing enough, TheCoolPool.com offers total membership and access for free.

As members have increased, competition has also been on the steady rise. 2009 champions include some familiar faces, as well as some members new to the scene. Will Riney gave poolers a run for their money as he reined Cool Pool Hockey Champion for the second time in three years. Kevin Sullivan (Baseball Cool Pool Champion, 2009) and Ron Cyphers (Football Cool Pool Champion, 2009-10) clearly made the right choices as they popped up as the 2009 seasons concluded. However, Miller dominated not one, but three Cool Pool Racing series by winning the Cup, Nationwide and Trick Series for 2009. Stephen Miller demonstrated obvious skill as his picks brought him to the top and lead to his title as Champion of the 2009 Cool Pool Indy Racing League.

Along with some new champions, TheCoolPool.com updated each sport’s site and banner. With members in mind, the Baseball Cool Pool made a few minor changes that can be summarized here:

Running a website is no easy feat, and thanks to Vice President Will Riney, and annually elected council members, TheCoolPool.com will always be a dependable and promptly updated business. 2009 Council members included: Chance Lawrence (Racing), Thomas Brownie (Racing), Scott Polohonki (Baseball) and John Krygier (Football). Though terms have ended, decisions for 2010’s Council will be posted in the near future.

As the new year progresses, much can be look forwarded to in the upcoming months.  Good luck and happy picking!
